i think i wrote in march i hope this virus brings the empire down but that was woefully naive. the empire is the empire and the pandemic is the pandemic as the pandemic is the empire and the empire is the pandemic and it's all one circus of life and one shared dance of death. the virus devours the host as the host devours the world. host is kin to ghost. there's a reciprocal relationship going back to proto-time we don't quite understand, it's still playing out this relationship, without our conscious understanding, who is the host, and who is the ghost.
