Without the genocide in Gaza we would not be talking about this war in Iran. The genocide in Gaza I think was an exercise in impunity. The transformation of the so-called rules based world order through this genocide in Gaza opened up this possibility of war crimes that otherwise would have been unthinkable. It was unthinkable to do such things. To have a president of the United States openly saying that we are going to annihilate an entire civilization. That was made possible by the genocide in Gaza.

Pray for Iran, Palestine, and the axis of resistance. It is existential.

Looking backward, it's obvious, there's no going back. I've been watching this space for years, before the Obamachron broke the circle and broke the ground and annihilated the witness trees, and I feel proud, not of the Obamachron certainly, but as an apostate and an aesthete, about bearing witness to the micro-imperial land grab of the people's park in the conquest of privatization of everything that could have been for the common good.
Maybe I should wait and see but I like the fresh remark, and I like not knowing the artist before remarking the art. Now I know it's an arc, a strangely bending arc, that looks like an alien tentacle, ironically inspired by Martin Luther King's adage about justice. I like it more now because I like Martin Puryear, but it's still creepy and awkward, oddly placed before the newest public library, in the land grab where the presidential library was supposed to go, which switched by law and grew too vertical hence it had to be called a Beacon and a Museum of Hope and Change for the imperial privatization of the public park—admission thirty bones.
