Disappointment is a good sign of basic intelligence. It cannot be compared to anything else: it is so sharp, precise, obvious, and direct. If we can open, then we suddenly begin to see that our expectations are irrelevant compared with the reality of the situations we are facing.

speedy busyness is the plague of laziness of all of us nowadays, and then all hell breaks loose.

after cultivating diligence, set your mind to concentrate, for those whose minds are slack and wandering are caught between the fangs of the afflictions.

rest your mind, no resolutions, just observe the clouds.

don't forget the 6th paramita at 2 o'clock! ok, tanks, my doggies.

happy screw years from the obamachron.

happy penny lu years!

happy juju years!

oh, the fangs of the afflictions. now the fifth paramita, meditation. the mind is completely destabilized. broken-openness. nothing lasts. standing on a bridge with the river of thought running below. we familiarize with our mind. those down there in the land grab, everyone exists. we go into life's difficulties with a gimlet eye. we need help. our boundaries keep us isolated, protecting ourselves from toxicity, but they really protect them from our inability to give and receive. we're all susceptible to crazy, society's ruled by criminals.

the nerve of the audacious renegade,

stealing the park

and then asking the people to pay

for his ivory tower.

the way is fraught with illusion. thank god for dogs.

we saw a film about a fellow who lost his wife in a tsunami in japan and it was boring and the next about a fellow who lost his family in a tidal wave in india and it was beautiful and soulful and i feel sorry for the first fellow because it was a documentary and he kept diving to find his lost wife but as i say it was boring and a bad film and the second fellow was an actor but both were real films about the disaster we're living in.

there's the world outside the so-called dog-eat-dog world though probably human-eat-human would be more true and there's the world inside my head and my brain floating in it and the cats whose world is all inside with boxes to sleep in and windows to look out and i keep going back to the awareness of the body and the cats and i worry about small things that are not at all small on the inside like jaspie who got skinny and has trouble eating his food and then today he lost it on the floor two times and anyway just to say i can take a picture of the obamachron and the dogs and the cats inside but the world really is overburdened and people are dying of commercial poison and consumer war and simple loneliness and all i can think is keep love alive.

this system can not save us. capitalism can not save us. whatever we do has to be built around the rubble of racial capitalism, white supremacy, and the black misleadership class that supports it. build and fight.

she's not evil, but she's very bad. she chews the tinsel from the tinsel tree, and she knocks the coal off the credenza. granted, she sometimes has to express her hanger dramatically.

we need a moratorium on land grabs in the public park
for the sake of all sentient beings.

why you gotta question everything? why not just say, ok?

because the renegade obama stole our park!

when you get quiet and you hear ringing someone may be thinking of you, or you may have tinnitus, or some others may be thinking of you, in the silence you may hear bells.

everything that arises is opportunity. avoidance of reality is profound laziness. our minds are beautiful instruments. 4th paramita, exertion, joyful effort. facing reality, we keep going, working with reality, vibrant, because we know we have this capacity to wake up.

our neighbor the audacious renegade of hope and change, the obamachron.

two shadows on two stories two floors apart thinking of two.

cultivate patience like a winter garden. you can do it, again and again and again.

how long can liars lie and keep on taking and getting paid.

anxiety is common in the malaise. it's ok, it's sanity.

snowmelt angel with shadow and goos poop. if you feel any struggle now, just be aware that you have body. find the breath in the body. between cause and effect lies the shadow, between cause and effect lies the pause of sanity.

thanks for inviting. the third paramita is ordinary mundane patience. anger can cause a lot of trouble. it can explode. it might be a systemic problem. it may be ten thousand years old. the best antidote is to take a pause. draw the space. patience.

i know how you feel.

what about me.

we can see a truth, but we can never see the whole truth. the truth depends on the context of the observation.         -grete hermann

of course, you want to remember what is essential, but it seems like we don't get to choose memories, of course there's a lot of shit we might like to forget.

it's intriguing what we remember and what we forget. what we forget somebody else remembers, and what we remember somebody else forgets, and it may not be anything that helps us connect the dots, remembered or forgot. often i've thought of what it would feel like to have no words at all for this, and many times i've thought of what it would feel like to have no body, yet to have a soul that floats above what i left behind, what i thought was me.

inhabitants, part two. we saw the film inhabitants last night. it felt good to know there are still wise stewards on the planet though the doctrine of discovery has tried so hard to destroy them. this is the opposite of wise stewardship. this is the doctrine of discovery, land theft, disdain for the community and the common good.

though obama or his mad ave bot says this is home i don't think it's home to anyone we know. not the animals who fled the saws. obama lives in several other prime locations. i guess it's rhetorical. this is his idea of making a "home" in the park.

he may want to benefit others, but he wants to make more money first.

are you ready for the second paramita, discipline? not ordinary discipline, mind you, not to worry. we're talkin bout transcendent discipline, dig. structure and flow. it's not about control, not a whip but a magnet, it's about presence, it's about slowing down and being here now.

such hokum, pobama needs more money. he had to beg for his birthday at his mansion on martha's vineyard, for dog's sake. dog knows it's gotta be a money pit, the obamachron, while our park was free! these land grab scams always cost the poor citizens, just like the empire wars, it never ends, and we gotta just be grateful we're alive to see the ghost forest for the dead trees.

saw rodney at the bike room obamachron window. had a brief loaded convo about obama begging for holiday dollars for his oligarchic apocatopia. how long, ho long. so we go through a litany of scams on the taxpayers and i say hey it may actually be the endtimes and rodney retorts we cant afford an apocalypse! ha ha ha. least we got our humor.

 word of the day, calamity.

obama's gonna trouble the waters.
god's gonna trouble the obamachron.

somebody pulled a branch off the tinsel tree and we thought it was juju. we heard the familiar sound this morg and juju was laying between us. it was penny lu who was the tinsel tree marauder, and she's happy being like that.
