he knew and he accepted and he was glad we were all together and it was beautiful holding him while he went to sleep. the cats know too, penny smelled my hand when i came in, they're laying near. he gave so much love. he went with the flow. the only time he got upset was when we fought and he stood between us and barked for us to please stop. he was a teacher to us and we still are learning.
