So Let’s Have the Debate.
If a persuasive case can be made that there is no viable
alternative to the Jackson Park site and hence the damage to a treasured
public resource is unavoidable, I am prepared to concede the argument.
It is also possible, though, that in an open debate, it will become
apparent that what Jarrett characterizes as the support of “the vast
majority of South Side and Chicago residents” is actually for many a
combination of respectful deference toward the Obamas and uneasy
resignation to what they perceive is a done deal that they have no means
to influence.

the obama fundation is a well-oiled machine that functions in smooth cahoots with other profit generating machines. i feel guilty when i call it a done deal, but it would be a miracle if the land-grab was stopped and another miracle if the fundation humbly admitted the other location is much more feasible and would be more allied with the community obama claims to support. and another miracle if the lawsuit to stop his land-grab passed the judge he himself hired.
