it's easy to be hard as 3 dog night said. if somebody was hard on you it's easy to be hard on others and yourself. i think my old man was a real hard man, hard to please, hard to know. however, he's dead and in the dead past, ah but planted firm in memory, ah but memory changes with the present tense application of positive change in the way of thinking. if dad can't be positive let sleeping dogs lie. it's not my business. it's not easy to be hard. being is hard and being hard is being hard. i want to listen better and not react in fear and anger. that's hard perhaps, but not as bad as being hard, being hard will get you in the end.
