i don't want to think it but i think maybe my vision is dimming. it's kind of penumbral. in the film a glitch in the matrix a character dissolves and all the components drift outward from the body until the body is no more. that's how it happens with avatars. what i fear is still being in the body while the senses close down. in dogs when one sense closes another opens more. i think of that dog with stitched up eyelids, listening with the whole open face turning this way and that to catch the sound like a flower turns toward sunlight. r. just lost the dog she used to take care of but got a gig doing a flower book.
