what caste do i belong to?

i talked to kumar about the caste system in india and i remember thinking it's here but it seems too vague to place. it's something like if you have to ask you may be lower caste, or rather upper maybe, above it. some that have enough money seem to have bought their way out of caste. the majority are in the keeping your head above water caste in america. that's why the dissent and the protests are so diverse. but it cuts across all lines economic and racial. it cuts across the artifices of control.
if you don't have enough, you are cast down, or out. so money is caste, but it's more than that. i look forward to learning more about caste around the planet and home. i think kumar was sort of higher caste in india, but lower in america, though he had an intellectual and moral caste that he seemed to cling to the fringe of. what do i know—little i'm sure. i'm not a scholarly thinker, i'm rudimentary, i speak sometimes whereof i know not but i want to know. i hope for a clearer perspective when my waters are less churning and confused.
