this our juneteenth morning walk. the water rises even when it don't rain. it's up to the wooden walkway. i saw a frog at the exit. the trees along the harbor edge are bare rooted and tipping. we're going to see massive change yet in our lifetime, if we survive the pandemic.
the police should be taken out of public schools and de-militarized, and if lightfoot can't wake up and be a leader with sense and dignity she should be removed. the thugs are probably going to get more draconian and violent but ultimately they will go the way of the many they rendered extinct. what an extraordinary rendition. a juneteenth parade of drums horns and song just passed down the midway. my spirit follows them though i stay up here.
