i dreamed of john cage. he said the trouble with normal is it always gets worse. he wasn't smiling like usual in life. the dream john cage was more alarmed than he let on in life.
i wonder if he said that.
he said i’m an anarchist, i don’t know whether the adjective is pure and simple, or philosophical, or what, but i don’t like government! and i don’t like institutions! and i don’t have any confidence in even good institutions. i think we have to embarrass the government out of existence . . . by not voting. by not accepting their offer of letting us vote. by refusing any connection with the government.
i don't know where the trouble with normal originated but it was probably the government.
the world is teeming; anything can happen, j.c. said,
i can't understand why people are frightened of new ideas. i'm frightened of the old ones.
