my friend who works with people with dementia said Our psyches are like trash compactors right now. Eventually we can’t stuff anymore in.  our psyches are like trash compactors in the garbage culture. we keep stuffing it in but it escapes—oozing, off-gassing or flaring. the future is uncertain and the end is always near. how do we get to the end. the cult of hate, the cult of the individual, the culture of trash, cultural dementia, the progress of oblivion. i need to see hilde today, and i need to talk about the little bear. my left hand is a little mangled by her wild lurching and pulling. i'm fretting about the little bear in winter but i don't want to quit her.
