we had a rain walk lulu and me and we didn't mind rather we enjoyed it walking in the rain it wasn't so heavy and it was glistening and lulu was walking so calmly though there were a lot of people for a pandemic and a rain day but it's friday so everyone is trying to get stuff done before the weekend like in normal times yet it doesn't feel at all like a normal day those days are gone one in fifty-four people in chicago are infected by the corona virus now. it's not going back to normal, if normal is the word for how it was made it the way it is, but being as it can only be by nature of the beast, we may adjust to having no possibility of the old normality and simply wear the mask and get on with things and it was good to see hilde walking a little shaky but aware and still browsing for morsels as always. lulu was excited but she did seem to note hilde's fragility and didn't knock into her and get barked at by comet. i'm going to visit without lulu tomorrow. i'm thinking for like 13 years we walked together 5 days a week up until the pandemic came and now it's not normal but just how it is. i'm thankful for the time we have.
