in the sunset yesterday r. thought there was a radiance of ice. for sunrise the city was blanketed by snow. i could do the same horizon and skyline but it would be blank blue-white. i'll try. and one from the east.
penny was purring and walking through my legs while i made coffee.
i did another pan from the fire escape, replacing the first one, and one of just the edge of the city and sky but the ground is more interesting now so i left that one absent. the sky is an absent presence, a presence of absence. atmospheric presence. knowing—not knowing—knowing nothing—fullness. chest of space rising outward falling inward. sad and happy at once. the snow floats as it falls. the crystal dusted air, how you feel. the way the pan curves the train tracks. the line curves, the panorama eye bends the construction, see from above the encrustration of the built space. the frustration rests in a bed of luminous air, blue white, the frustration breathes. a lone bird appears and disappears.
