i got a picture in the mail of the hot pink see-saw transgression of the hateful despicable wall. i said it's a great, sad interjection. though that's not the word. and then a refusal to see it as sad. but how can you not see it as sad as well as joyous. it's a brutal wall, and a playful, futile modification. the wall is on land stolen in 1848 and the first fence was in 1911, the newly erected sick fuck trumpian wall was illegally erected with stolen funds in 2020. i think every u.s. precedent has his war (or wars) and walls. this one is particularly egregious and galling, a killing border on property stolen into the land of the hateful and free. i see the joy, and it's teeter-tottering in the sadness. the see-saw was 10 years moving from drawing to installation—lasting 40 minutes.
