our coyote was sunning in her front yard at the end of the midway. lulu and i walked closer and i said hi. when she went in the leafy shadows lulu wanted to follow. wait lulu, we have to leave her now, she knows us a little better, she knows we're curious and friendly. this may be the closest we get. i may start bringing my longer lens.
i feel my breath quicken and expand seeing her. i feel the dormant wilderness awaken in me.
i wondered why lulu always went to the same spot and lay down to roll and chew goldenrod. she was smelling our coyote and leaving her scent for greeting.
so thankful for the nature we have in the city.
