i don't think about cancer as a habit but it sure does crop up a lot. i just read terry tempest williams' new book; fracking and uranium mining on native lands has made for chemical genocide, and we lucky ones, well, i look up the tap water for chicago and 10 chemical contaminants appear beyond the legal guidelines set 20 years ago, way before the final trump. who the frack knows but the government of no mercy decides what is acceptable, and clearly mass cancer along with mass destruction by pentagon are acceptable. in fract, just about any fucking thing goes in the land of the free and the home of the cowed. the erosion of democracy is apace with the destruction of the ecology. the ecology is enslaved to the economy, and the enslaved species are bound to die.
