on my way to the library i saw on the corner a small fellow with a big white flag saying veterans for peace at the teachers union strike. it was my friend arny. i rode over to say hello and asked how he joined the teachers. he just came with his flag and asked the organizer and the organizer said sure, you are welcome. he said he had tried to connect with extinction rebellion and go no answer. i told him about bears ears, the land grab of national parks and native lands for fracking, and the local land grab in jackson park and the save the trees protest tomorrow and how some of the good neighbors wanted to shun our dissent and we agreed all the dissenting groups can come as one when all we want is peace and to save the trees and all life on this fragile planet too.
