we still had bear time left so we went to the park. by the playground there's a green indentation bear stuck her head into. a few feet away i saw a bunny and it was funny bear didn't see. then i wondered what she did see and i said what bear and she lifted her head up and had a bunny almost invisibly hidden in her mouth. i said bear drop and she did! the bunny just sat there probably wondering if it was alive or a ghost, a drop of saliva on its back. the same thing happened with hilde and i remarked then and now how soft the mouth of a dog can be, how gentle the prey instinct.
