wudjusay?

people withdraw into themselves walking around the park faces blank or fixed facing inward. people withdraw from the destruction. every atom belonging to me as good belongs to you, walt whitman said. too much to carry, too much to release. people to protect their damaged psyches withdraw from everything, even the dogs who appeal to them and the trees whispering over their bowed heads. people withdraw into their own world. there's no time now. we run out of time. we've burned our resources and all we can manage is involute prayer. we may feel the need to breathe shallowly in the parts per million atmosfear but dogs and the trees in the park and the world is outside waiting.
