still thinking about skin, i read about martin luther king and think how everything is packaged in america for public consumption, and how in that plastic packaging the truth can't breath, it's just a package with a upc code to scan. so we scan people like products, even the true revolutionaries and inspired radicals like doctor king. i was thinking about my hands, the skin become like plastic on my fingertips, the skin made brittle by trauma, unviable as skin, like packaging on a live body.
i think of america like this: like packaging, like we can't breathe free, like we live in a traumatic state, like trauma is our skin.

then i read in counterpunch: * Dr. King rejected the myths of U.S. society. He rejected its Mad Men packaging itself as “the leader of the free world” to tell it like it is; that the United States is “the greatest purveyor of violence in the world.”
