today i stayed with comet three hours. i read and he snoozed beside me. i felt less anxious than just thinking about him from home. he calmed me and i in turn i hope calmed him. he seems calm. i don't know what pain he feels. he licked the outside of his thigh. he knows his leg is in trouble and he wants to heal it. it makes me sad to think it may not heal. he used to dance in the air.
