i was at a kind of fundraiser dinner work party for the bookstore, there were people everywhere working rather desperately, i didn't know what was going on or what to do there so it seemed like chaos, then i got a prize or something, a long cardboard box and then i lost that and my keys and coat and everything i came with and i was outside wondering what to do. i could not g0 back in there looking stupid and lost in all that bookish chaos.
