on the way we heard baying in the model yacht pond and saw two hounds chasing a duck. on the way back we saw one hound still chasing the duck and noticed the ducklings scurrying away in fear while the mother kept diverting the old hound. the young hound gave up and was back ashore. the drama continued as we left. there were eight ducklings and now

there are six. we root for the ducklings.
