when we pass the model yacht pond i always look for the duck family. the ducklings were down to five last time i saw, they were big enough now that they ventured off by themselves while the mother sat on the pedestal of the sculpture in the middle where she could see the whole circle. today i saw her there but i didn't see any ducklings, and then i saw this one, and the mother still sitting on the pedestal looking over.
