me and lulu were swimming and saw this fellow walking along the sea wall with a long walking stick. i thought he was a familiar but without dogs i wasn't sure. i talked to a girl reading maya angelou poems with her boy and girl bichons. the boy was a ladies man and boldly stepped to the edge for lulu. i saw a popo copter overhead and figured we were being surveilled for illicit joyous activity and we best rap it up. anyway lulu was going vertical and we had to move plus she hurled some kibble after swallowing too much water. we went up to roll in the grass and talked more and then a girl said you can't sit on the rocks reading a book you have to move and keep moving and don't stop that's the policy i guess now in phase 4 though you can businesses are open with far less social distance and far greater risk, and wtf there were many people on the point half a block away unmolested and swimmers with buoys and kayaks and motorboats and fishers on the pier so wtf it's crazy it's pandemic it ain't rational it's pandemic wtf.
anyway we say crazy and move on and i see the bearded wanderer again and i fix on him and say do you know me? do you remember me? and he peers in and lo and behold it's the wandering oleg we haven't seen in 3 years he says, maybe. i look up zoysia because of course i remember his dog name first and then it comes to me—oleg! and i see the picture titled i sing of oleg and coincidentally i quoted e.e. cummings this morning who sang of olaf but that's what i thought of when i titled the picture. he said i don't understand the corona i read but i don't understand and i said i don't either i think it's just the old system is corrupt and failing and we have to adapt but how can we we're a species in line for extinction and anyway the climate isn't just changing it's corrupted too with the human system and we can't really adapt to our changes and the corona is the result of the destruction and we can only live creatively while we may in the total failure of democracy by creative anarchy because that will outlast the criminal empire even if we pass by the same criminal annihilation.
he's russian and kind of i wanna say laconic? and i'm not sure if he is allied with all that, but he's a dogman and a wanderer in a circumscribed locale like me. and good to see.
he also didn't know mister had passed, and was kind of quiet when he heard and i got a little shy and looked down and was laconic too i guess well he was old. we're old too. we've worn out a few good dogs in this brief old life.
