i was waiting for full pink moon, an opera povera quarantine live stream of pauline oliveros' opera. there were a few glitches and then a talk and now it's playing, they're all playing from their quarantines. at first i thought i couldn't get into it. i listened to oliveros years ago but maybe i'm not as open now. but i'm opening now. it's really intriguing, how all the separate voices and instruments blend from all the different spaces. i wonder what pauline would have thought and i think she would have loved it and been proud of them. there's another thunderstorm now we don't wait for the full pink moon. it did rise but we may not see it, maybe in the early late hours after the storm it passes. there was one inch hail up north. this time is exceeding strange. none quite know what is going on. the talk on pauline was about the sound world and how we connect by sound consciousness and how every day we improvise and transform the world. i've been thinking like that, that we don't know what is going to happen, in the pandemic and the great unraveling and the consciousness that keeps striving toward some improvised new synthesis out of the pandemonium caused by ruthless ruling elites and the chaos born of the destruction of nature. we don't know where this is all going or what's going on but we know something else beside annihilation is in the air. this will pass. we won't all die, some of the dictators will, some will be replaced, there are other forces than the brutal military kind. there are forces of creative anarchy, natural forces, gentle forces of love in the grim squalor of this pandemic time.
