rosie and mister in the japanese garden.

while the birders counted birds we sat on the hill by the pond in the island. and met rosie. mister and rosie are neighbors, but we only see each other in passing, through doors, into cars, so we luxuriated in this chance meeting on a beautiful day in may, with an enticing variety of birds singing and flying all around us, the atmosphere calm and the air feeling mellow. my tooth was quiet and peaceful in my head. i will say that this place in this city this morning was a loving place today. i felt the sanctuary green and rising. i thought, this can still be a sanctuary, at least until obomba comes, and even then, the birds may come too. we have to find sanctuary where possible, whatever predations may come. for we are here, and where this here is, this is where we stay.
