you know i really do love you, and i know i should take better care of you. it's not enough to feel love, i have to show love, and showing love is giving care, noticing needs, not just in crisis, but daily, like i do this journal, i need to tend to practical needs too, daily, and to tend to needs i need to notice, more than like a child or a philosopher or poet, or all of those with a mature pragmatism i was not taught. i have to teach myself how to care, not in spirit, in body, in action. i have always been a dreamer. i need to wake up. please help me to wake up.
