i asked r. what she thought of my poem and she said what poem. she didn't know it was a poem. which could be an indication of what she thought of the poem, but also could be a good response to a poem, to not regard it as a poem. heck if i know if it's a poem or not. i realize now it matters little what a poem thinks it is.
