coming back north i saw across the swamp a crow chase a squirl up the fence and over into the stone block corral. then the crow picked up the squirl's morsel and hop-flew it over to the swamp, washed it of squirl germs and flew up to eat on a honey locust branch.
mister was lagging but i was mindful of him and he caught up at the mouth of the swamp, the clear spring. i asked, d'you see that mister?
