the witch of eye book was difficult and i rushed it some but not without reason not just because i wanted to get to the ramifications which i did because i signed up for a zoom interview with the writer but after i realized i did get it and it was difficult for her too, and that's what made it uncomfortable, not that a book about the subtle arts and the patriarchy should be comforting, but i see she wanted to understand the treatment of "witches" by the patriarchy and realized the same thing that was going on then still is, and that lens just adds depth to the evil.
also she had something she wanted to explain about her own life that she could not i guess to protect somebody and that secret made the writing tense and opaque. i think i get it anyway which is a testament to her writing power.
so tonight we have roasted broccoli and sweet potato and mushroom flatbread and the wanting mare for we hope our viewing pleasure. is it gonna be good r. says, and i say it looks intriguing but it might suck eggs.
