lulu saw ada coming down the street and ada saw lulu but ada was connected to her mom who seemed to not see lulu and me and was connected to a person in her phone. she stopped though knowing ada was seeing someone, and she looked the other way as though not to see lulu and me. we proceeded to the empty lot where the snow mounds and the community garden used to be, where we lulu played with ada and pretended to play ball and not wait for ada. ada came slowly looking across and mom looking ahead where  she was going on her phone. we tossed the ball into the shadows of the trees and followed casually indifferently watching them leave.
