remember that desire promises the attainment of what you desire, while aversion promises the avoidance of what you find disagreeable. whoever fails to attain their desires is dissatisfied, while those who incur what they would avoid are malcontent. thus, if you limit your aversion solely to those things in your control which are contrary to nature, you will never suffer what you wish to avoid.
