it makes no sense except it does. anyone anywhere can go buy an assault weapon and assault anyone they choose right now. it makes sense to the weapons industry and the politicians who pump money into the system that overrides common sense bans on assault weapons. it makes sense when squads of militarized police with assault weapons appear and say to the people who know better that they are safe now.
