before we saw barbara loden's film wanda i read exposition by nathalie léger. it's already fading into memory, but then after watching wanda i got suite for barbara loden also by nathalie léger. i liked it better i think than exposition, though it may fade quickly though it will fade into the barbara loden memory line. she touched me way back when i first saw splendor in the grass. she was powerful as warren beatty's fictional floozie flapper sister. directed by her second husband elia kazan. it's sad she didn't get to make more movies.
after reading the caretaker and going back to my studio apartment that i now view more as the collection than an apartment and i feel like the purpose of collecting the collection was to displace me and then welcome me back as caretaker i fondly hope. then today i got an invitation to a collage class at the smart museum about what it means to take care.
that's all. i just like how things flap and overlap and continue other things and i like the idea of nurturing a more careful curation of wonderful objects and how that relates to self-care and nurturing others primary and intimate or at large in the world.
