does it matter what we do? i know it matters how we feel and we want to feel inspired of course and this is a flattening time. flattening? that's an odd way to characterize it. recycling, composting, marching against the police state, protesting for peace, well, we don't have that much now, just trying to flatten the surge, we may feel deflated, though we still have the urge, people still get it on, make babies write songs, some glorious paintings emerge while some say painting's history. shake your head, say, where did this come from? feelings change all the time, but this may really be the close of our history, unless we emerge beyond our history, we may not be the last of the species, we may be lucky that way, feelings change and we want to make our own life story, not just succumb to the brutal narrative of the occupation. it matters what we do with our heads and hearts today no matter what will come to pass. long story short, we matter to ourselves. we still have bodies. time may be flattening, post present imposed history may flatten our feeling, but we are not quite flat yet. we don't know what's coming but this too will pass, like weather, lifelike, like a feeling.
