what got me thinking about the matrix again was a glitch in the matrix the documentary. the significance of the fictional matrix is to explore the documentary matrix we live in, so that we may use our critical thinking in order to free ourselves to live in it but not of it. we don't have to live as white supremacists or warmongers or destroyers of the commons and land thieves. we can—despite the ultimate nihilistic forces of the fossil fuel and arms and drug and chemical industry—be free. freedom is within us. that's what the glitches in the matrix are reminding us of. we don't have to live that way.
