i was taking pictures in the laundry room and robert asked if i had any pictures before when the trees were living. so i thought i'd do a before and an after, and there will be a lot more after to come. 

but let us pause now to give thanks for a crack of light that reached into the justice system today. the three homicidal racists that hunted and murdered ahmaud arbery have been convicted. we will celebrate this for our simple thanksgiving, not the racist history of american genocide.
