there's nature and narrative. the narrative lays on top of nature, settles upon nature, colonizes nature. we've forgotten what nature is. our nature's been colonized, but what is forgotten may be remembered. we are remembering what the people who were not successfully colonized always knew, how underneath the narrative, everything is interdependent, the narrative of competition and the conquest of nature is the premise of extinction.
