my perspective is you.
in case we are unable to connect i just want to record some thoughts on the tigger woods/b.obomba fundation nefarious plan.
i sent this to a journalist after i called after he asked me to call and i heard back silence.
it's rare that i'm able to form thoughts into words as i think. i sent this note so i could let it go. it's not for publication except here. i guess this is a publication right, it's public. when i write letters to the editor they disappear into the editorial ether, and we may not connect at all, so this is what i have to say now. it'd come out different every time i try. the point is to try, and not to be overly concerned about what people think. we need to be concerned with what we think, and if possible to say it. to try. i'll write another post called the stratagem of failure, which i think is the character of society, though it goes by different names.
i just reread the note and i felt embarrassed at the writing and changed it here though i can't there, and i wouldn't change it this way. now, even if it's still embarrassing it's more like what i would write here. so i was writing for the journalist, and i wish i could delete his version, especially since he didn't have the kindness to respond. well he's busy as they say.
that's all i got for now.
well almost- i heard from the journalist, and we may meet this week.

i
still have hope it will be averted or at least diverted. if it happens it will be clear
that it was a legalized confiscation of public land for private
enterprise. the plan is so far beyond the 5% footprint of the tower and
grounds. the whole community is already impacted by gentrification in
anticipation of the 2nd coming of obomba. the rich and powerful speculators assume it was always a
done deal, and every resistance a minor glitch to be handily swept aside. given that the judge assigned to the protect our parks
lawsuit was assigned by obomba the appeal may die. but more and more
people and groups of people are aware now that this will be a disaster
for the park and the community alike, and a victory for
privatization.
my perspective comes from years of walking my
dog with the audubon birders on wooded island, and seeing how the park
district and project 120 have mis-managed the area. there's a lot of
dubious activity in the background, a lot of false promises and
propaganda.
it's hard to fight the power of people like
obama, who seem to be invulnerable to scrutiny and critical thought, and
who have endless resources and support of the business elite.
i
just hope people will see what is going on and that the different
groups of resistance will unite to defend our park and community from
being taken over.
