i wrote to environmentalists of color, and to curtis black of the chicago reporter, about the two nature sanctuaries threatened by obomba and tiger. there's a tendency to separate the issues, and there's a conjunction of interests by private enterprises that are in cahoots. all open land, green space, sanctuary, and nature are susceptible to developers and private enterprise that claims to benefit the community and in fact only see the community, and the commons, as opportunity to extract wealth at the expense of both nature and community, which we have to regard as one common good. i'm going to call curtis at three and i'll let you know what i learn or say. i often have trouble organizing my thoughts, i get cloudy or emotional, and sometimes i think succinct. i'm kind of tired it being friday, but today is the day.
