i just saw the academy of muses, by josé luis guerín. real good. just like his in the city of sylvia. his films are real investigations. 
i was wondering what image to put for this and the crows came up and then i remembered a shepherd in the film talking about how crows kill lambs. crows are really intense. i thought of the academy of crows. crows as muses. the muses in the academy of muses are also intense, powerful. they might pluck your eyes out and make you see them and follow their voice forever, men might think  they make them up, but muses make art and men. crows are mysterious. they have this world. we exist on the periphery of their world. they could be muses but they don't care about our productions. they have their own.
