the art of the done deal. this has nothing to do with that and maybe that's ok because the deal has nothing to do with this and it's done anyway, so.
so we're going up to joe scott's show and passing by grand ave. i wonder aloud if 65 grand is still existing and renate says, that's where we're going! now it's on north and kedzie. when we meet joe r. mentions i showed at 65 grand years ago and he remembers! i'm stunned and then r. says she remembers now joe told her about my show all that time ago, she said it rings a bell. it was at least 10 years ago. it just feels like there's a whole lot of synchronicity going on, even going back in time, and jumping forward. i feel like some things are truly meant to be and then they have been all along. like me and renate have been in each other's orbit for a long time, before we met, observing without knowing, just a kind of human gravity, until the time came on the island when contact was made.
bill of 65 grand asked what i'm doing now, making anything? and i actually felt good telling him i'm a blogger now, like it feels now, like it's so part of living that it feels more vital than my tangible art even, though it be ephemeral. i was so pleased to be back in the art world as a visitor, and sober, and a dog walking blogger, i never would have imagined it going this way, meeting r., going back, feeling more myself than i did before and sharing that feeling in that art space.
