the air in portland is the worst in the world, the air is ashes, and the fires can't be doused because they sent the helicopters to fight the endless war on afghanistan.
look at the sky and wonder why and why it seems both beautiful and terrible and why we live the way we do between beauty and terror and why it seems it had to be this way though we know it isn't the way nature goes.
reading the new wilderness that transpires in this country sometime soon though unspecified, when people have to live in the unliveable cities unless they are allowed to migrate to a narrow preserve called the new wilderness, where they can with ingenuity survive.
first we have to breathe, before we speak. we have to wonder why before we can imagine living a natural life. we have to wonder what is a natural life.
