little bear and i swam again today now her surgery has healed. the water is colder but not too cold i thought but little bear was not into the swim. maybe during the healing hiatus she got shy, or maybe it was because i forgot the squeaky ball and she figured what's the point of swimming with nothing to retrieve. in some ways she's very serious minded. she was shaking and chattering after though so maybe it was too cold for little bear, though to this naked ape it felt fine and dandy. she kept trying to climb on my back and pull me back to shore and i put the leash handle all the way up my arm and did the breast stroke. next time i'll bring the squeaky and then we'll know if the swimming season for bear is past.
