obama's lawn

walking the south end of the island i see the tall grasses mowed
and the scenic overlook for the future 
obama tower gleaming 
and my heart feels covered in sod like a grave. 
covered in sod like grave, what is not paved. 
i see what they have done in anticipation of 
obama's millennium park south and i feel what they 
will continue to do in his name.
