what doesn't get articulated in university of chicagoland about the impending obamaland grab is how it furthers the corporate interests of both the ex-president and the university at the expense of the community and the people and the public parkland. the truth that the university wants to take over land and expand it's empire with the selling point of adding jobs and bringing dollars to the community is pure sham. it's a corporate elitist land grab. people from the university, unless they are powerful tenured professors, are afraid to speak the truth. 
the mask of democracy is gone from the national regime, but locally it's still in place, and it's locally we have to act. we have to lift the mask.
