the heat in this place is insane. it's winter but it feels like summer in here. i put the fan on. i can't turn on the reading lamp because we got the wrong bulbs, hot incandescent. penny lu's over by the blazing radiator hunting bugs! or going insane and hallucinating bugs! it's utterly still but it sounds like mechanical wind outside, a turbine? the power station for the whole damn campus pumping heat underground and smoke in the damned air, prolly. hey! i'll use r.'s reading lamp! my brain still works! g'night!
