today the sun lasts 9 hours and 9 minutes. on the solstice, 9 hours and 6 minutes. the time in bed is about the same as the time of sun. it seems like we (or i) should be in bed longer as daylight decreases. my solstice birthday i would be happy to pass in bed drinking tea and reading, holding stones and kindling light with skin. the day is more concentrated and energy is burned faster in cold. the darkness grows inside out. out there we have to put our faces toward the sun and move steady.
mister resisted going to the bath today and i pushed his butt all the way. he didn't squirm once the shower started. his back legs folded when he got out and he resisted the blow dry too.
i think i take a short nap and we go to big marsh. i'll post you from there.
