it's rather remarkable how long it takes in the instant age to get a reply. you might get one instantly, maybe suspiciously quick, you may get one later, you may get one never. i suspect that will be the case with my query about the chicago park district's use of roundup. i'd like to verify, though i think i know, and what do i expect? a public outcry? maybe if the truth were known, nah it never sets us free. still. maybe i could write a letter. but whom to send it to? the editor? the wizard of oz? in the instant age gratification may be infinitely delayed like until kingdom come to give one perspective. people might send a note, that don't mean they want a reply, but they probably won't say they're incensed when you don't. i come to think i might as well address everyone in blog form. in here i can say what i want and i can cry and it's like a cry in the heart of space and if someone replies i can be like wow you read me! and honestly be surprised.
